The Fujifilm Appeal
I used to work with a photographer doing weddings and we had lots of good experiences with Fujifilm products. I also had friends who worked with Fujifilm and they let me know it's a good company to work with. So, I had a good impression of the products and people from the very beginning.
Your First Day
Very pleasant; everyone is so friendly they helped me out a lot. It's a big facility with over 200 people, so I brought the directory home to familiarize myself. Now, I can remember all the names and extensions without a problem.
What You've Learned
Patience is a virtue when answering the phone hundreds of times a day.
Your Funniest Moment at Fujifilm
Recently, someone called. It was a "courtesy" sales call from a big car dealership. He asked, "May I speak with Mr. Fujifilm?" I explained that Fujifilm is a company, not a person. He hung up.
Anything You'd Like to Say to New and Prospective Fujifilm Employees?
Fujifilm is a great company to work with. There's always room to grow. People are really friendly and helpful.
Anything Else You Would Like to Say?
I love my job. I get to speak with everyone in all departments. And I'm not working in a cubicle!

First thing on Monday is the busiest time of the week. Routing messages from the weekend.

Keep tabs on vendors and visitor traffic. Also, keep ongoing attendance calendar.

On breaks, I try to take a 15-minute walk around the building. It's a good chance to go outside and stretch my legs.

Printing payroll and handling calls. It's always busy!
