What You Do
My main responsibility is to acquire technical equipment for Fujifilm. I review, test, and analyze new computers and peripheral products.
The Fujifilm Appeal
I wanted to go with a major corporation and Fujifilm is a stable company with offices all over the country. Also, I'm a bit of an amateur photographer myself. I helped take the pictures for my high school yearbook, and we used Fujifilm. In fact, the photographer who worked with us on that yearbook is still a Fujifilm customer.
Your First Day
It was a baptism by fire. I started in the middle of a very large rollout an equipment lease contract was ending and 75 laptops had to be prepared. I like to think I hit the ground running.
Your Most Exciting Moment at Fujifilm
I got to go to New York City for the first time in my life. I felt like I was five years old, riding in on the train, going to Grand Central Station, and participating in a meeting at the Grand Hyatt. I'll never forget it.
Anything You'd Like to Say to New and Prospective Fujifilm Employees?
Fujifilm treats their employees with dignity and respect. They'll help you develop your skills and your career. Green means grow!

Fire up the computer. Assess incoming orders from Fujifilm departments.

Pay a visit to the lab in Duluth where repairs and deployment are done. Do a little QC on incoming PCs.

Take the opportunity to sit in on some software training.

By this time, somebody's equipment, somewhere, has malfunctioned! Time to get back to my desk and prioritize.
