Spend a day with...

Joe, Software Quality Assurance Engineer, Rochester, NY
Fujifilm Employee since February, 2002

What You Do

Basically, I break things for a living. We support a variety of Web sites. My day-to-day job is designing test plans, creating test cases, breaking things down to their components, figuring out what could go wrong, and preparing for the contingency. A lot of time is spent in project planning with other departments.

The Fujifilm Appeal

The biggest thing that attracted me to Fujifilm was the opportunity for growth. I was also impressed by the great atmosphere. People are treated really well, given lots of responsibility and a lot of room to grow.

Your First Day

I hit the ground running. Started running through test plans, finding bugs, and interacting with different teams. I was part of a team immediately. It made me feel like what I did mattered.

What Surprised You Most About Fujifilm?

Fujifilm employees' positive attitudes. I've worked in places where folks don't help others grow. Here, everyone is interested in everyone else's growth. It's really refreshing.

Your Favorite Moment at Fujifilm.

I used to play drums in an original rock group with another Fujifilm employee. Many Fujifilm folks came see us play. It was great to have the interest and support of the company and staff.
